The Plug-in Media gals are at the Children’s Media Conference flying the flag high for quality interactive media production for kids and young people.

Juliet Tzabar, who serves on the board of this inspirational conference, is producing the session Get Smart with your Brand featuring Jamie Cason from Avril Digital, Dan Efergan from Aardman Digital, Jamie MacDonald from Codemasters, Maurice Suckling from the Mustard Corporation and James Whitmarsh from Turner EMEA. It’s a completely interactive session that asks the audience to match their favourite kids brands with the gaming platforms that would suit them. Famous Five on wii? Peter Rabbit on iPhone? The audience gets to decide!

Our Creative Director Dominic Minns started his career drawing comics for the great Don Lawrence, so cartooning is very much a subject close to our heart. And our very own Kate Fowler will be upholding the Plug-in comic book legacy by producing the Ka-boom! panel. This session explores the recent in interest in comics and graphic novels for children. It will feature exclusive images from David Almond and Dave McKean’s new book and tips on the finer points of character creation from comic’s artist Jamie Smart. Chaired by comics expert Paul Gravett, the session will ask how the comics industry is changing to meet the digital world of 2010.
