The UK’s biggest meeting place for the children’s content industries, The Children’s Media Conference, is being held in Sheffield this week 6 – 8th July 2011. With over 200 speakers and a huge variety of workshops ranging from generating ideas, pitching, creating apps and of course the future of kids technology – it’s going to be a very busy few days!

Our own Managing Director Juliet Tzabar is going to be holding a ‘game storm’ on Wednesday afternoon, helping to facilitate the latest Crossover Lab ‘Thinking Differently… with Crossover Labs’. Anyone from any sector of children’s entertainment can join the workshop which tries to harness the power of storytelling and gameplay to inspire brand new kids media formats. Produced and introduced by Mark Atkins from Crossover Labs, the two of them are hoping that this playful workshop will unleash the inner children of CMC!

On Thursday evening, Juliet is the Executive Producer for the Creative Keynote:Building Moshi Monsters to 50 Million Registered Users where Michael Acton Smith, CEO, Mind Candy will be sharing his success story.

Juliet serves on the committee for the Children’s Media Conference and has been going for the past 6 years. “It’s been amazing to see how much the event has grown year-on-year. It’s always such a friendly event – I can’t wait to get to Sheffield and catch-up with everyone from this fundamental sector of our business,” says Juliet, “It’s always very rewarding to take time out from our busy Brighton office to concentrate on the industry at large and see what amazing stuff everyone else is producing.”
