Plug-in Media Celebrates 10 Years of BAFTA-winning Production

6th December 2019

Plug-in Media is thrilled to announce our latest award win.  Last Sunday evening, we took home the Children’s BAFTA Short Form award for our ecological Tee and Mo song, Help Our Little World.

It’s been 10 years since our first Children’s BAFTA award win for the Big and Small House - a magical and innovative online game, honoured in the Interactive category.  To have sustained the highest standards of production across two categories, and over 10 years, along with 3 further BAFTA wins secured in between, is something we are incredibly proud of.

Since 2009, the children’s content industry has seen unprecedented change.  The advent of the iPad and the rise of Youtube have seriously impacted children’s media consumption patterns, and there is immense competition for eyeballs amongst young audiences today.  Plug-in Media is a next generation production company, delivering both interactive and linear content to kids across all platforms. Our blended business model combines not only different media output, but a mix of original IP and service work for clients such as BBC, Nickelodeon and Turner Broadcasting.  Our BAFTA-award winning work spans this output and also includes: Zingzillas (Interactive, 2010), Psychoville (New Media Television, 2012) and Get Well Soon Hospital (Interactive 2016).

This latest win is the first for one of our own brands.  Tee and Mo is a transmedia success story and is already a two-times BAFTA nominee - previously for our games in 2014, and for another animated music video, Come on Get Up in 2016. This has been a big year for Tee and Mo short form content.  As well as the launch of two new songs (Help Our Little World and our latest, Christmas Box, released last week), we also recently broke through the 100,000 subscriber threshold on Youtube, and in total, Tee and Mo content has now been seen over 100 million times on Youtube by audiences across the world.

We are thrilled to be winners in a tough category, and with plenty of new projects on the horizon, we’re looking forward to another 10 years of producing BAFTA award-winning work.
