Dive straight into an exciting and beautiful underwater world with the Octonauts – our latest immersive website has been created to accompany Chorion’s acclaimed new animation series for CBeebies.

The Octonauts will stop at nothing to help sea creatures in trouble: by becoming an Octonaut-in-Training you can save trapped fish from the dark and dangerous Ice Caves with the kindly Captain Barnacles; gather frightened friends from oncoming storms with brave Kwazii Cat, or be Peso Penguin’s medical assistant as you help the poorly sea creatures feel better again with just the right medicine in the Creature Hospital.

By completing each of the missions, you can earn sea creatures for your very own section of the ocean bed and you can learn about the creatures in your collection by reading fun facts about each one: find out about their eating habits, their natural habitat and really get to know them through exclusively available animated “creature report” songs.

Our original crossover of animation with gaming allows you to be fully immersed in this colourful, vibrant underwater world and as with many of our projects for this age group, education through entertainment has been the key focus.  We wanted the Octonauts web experience to embed learning within an award system: our audience becomes part of the Octonauts crew, and interacts directly with the underwater world that this brave gang inhabits. By engaging directly with the characters, players form an emotional link with them and before long they’re learning intuitively. Simply by immersing themselves into the world of the Octonauts, players will be enjoying an environment that pre-schoolers can never hope to experience firsthand, and finding out all there is to know about the amazing world of underwater ecology.
